IUCN Membership
14.02.2017
Since February we are an official member of IUCN, the "International Union for Conservation of Nature". The membership Union was established in 1948 and is composed of both government and civil society organisations. It provides public, private and non-governmental organisations with the knowledge and tools that enable human progress, economic development and nature conservation to take place together.
The IUCN is the world's main authority on the conservation status of species and is responsible for the Red List of Threatened Species and defines in the World Commission on Protected Areas the world's protected areas.
Thanks to our membership, we expect an intensified exchange with organisations having a similar mandate.
