Since the start of the training program, we have trained a total of 20 in the region active rangers in the most advanced, efficient, and cost-effective coral reef restoration techniques. This time, two students came from our partner organization Mwambao. There will be 6 more trainees by the end of 2023.

Practical training

Luqman Ali Khamis Thani. 27 years old.
I am a Tanzanian trainer diver from Mwambao Coastal Community Network since 20th August 2023. I am proud to know various lessons I have learned of knowing about Coral Reefs Restoration. When you implement these methods, the societies / coastal communities will know and understand the value of corals to humans and marine life. I really appreciate what I learned. This is because I spent a lot of time and moments for working practically and watching videos of communities of people who are living near the ocean and how some of them respect and care to the sea while others destroy it. I would like to thank MARINE CULTURES for providing me such an excellent and well-run training program on Coral Reefs Restoration.

Yussuf Abdalla Khatib. 32 years old.
I am an employee of Mwambao Coastal Community Network. I am from Kukuu Village, Pemba Island. Based on the training I received, I have learned various, effective, and simple methods for restoring coral reefs. When you implement these techniques carefully you have the best chances of a regrow of the coral reefs you work on. The training was of a higher caliber because we spent a lot of time working practically and learning in theory by various presentations and watching educational videos about the relationships in the coral reefs and in the ocean in general.

Happy with certificates
